The Rollin' Rust - Sunsets Live

James VanDeuson and the rest of The Rollin' Rust band locate an old summer camp James worked at as a teenager and retrofitted it into a recording space for the afternoon. What they came out with was nothing short of magical. Performing live in just two takes, the band gets in and out before the mosquitos finish the Rollin' Rust off for good. Everything Else | Website: https://www.therollinrust.com/ Lyrics: Sunsets I was running on running out Scanning faces in a media town They were all the same Checking on every account In their name I felt like a fish in a big bowl of booze Swimming in circles baby all around you Couldn’t make me a meal If I gave you a list for the store You were looking for the sunset You were looking for someone I do not know You were quick to ask for change From the one who's not the same here anymore Shakey hands and the zipper don’t zip Trying it on when the jacket don’t fit You’re alone out there Even when you’re all bundled up Love is a feeling that lasts for the year A lifetime of seasons and familiar fear Once you got what you need You’re tricked into wanting something more You were looking for the gold out there What’s wrong with growing old and good enough You were asking all your questions When the answer wasn’t really all that tough It’s a feeling i Can’t shake That we’re part of some Parade So I will dance around And wave Until it’s done You give it all up, 'til you’re naked and wet Starting from scratch Full of regret You’re an infant now Open those eyes to the world Some will tell you that it’s god Some will tell you what you didn’t want to hear Well I’m no sunset I just never felt like it all was far Yeah I’m no sunset It's just nice to feel that way Before it’s dark #newband #folkband #folkmusic #indiefolk #folkrock

Everything Else | Website: https://www.therollinrust.com/ Lyrics: I bought a ticket and a bottle of tequila A reason to go and a reason to stay My oh, these bloodshot eyes Could use a good reason to open today I sold what I had to buy what I didn’t It doesn’t make sense to keep it all in Love was a joke, until it wasn’t funny I need a good reason to get away quick Now I’ve got all of California in my rearview I got Colorado weed inside my glovebox I’ve got that Arizona sunset polaroid to guide me home Never needed a good reason to go I met a good man who lived inside the bottle Asked him for help and a reason to live He said, “you only got one as much as I remember. If that ain’t a reason, I don’t know what is.” Only time itself doesn’t miss a moment I’m scared to death of living half a life I’m happy you’re here to hear all about it It might be a reason to stay for a while Now I’ve got all of Ohio in my rearview I got Georgia on my mind I’ve got that mind set right on Texas Might go see the Alamo Never needed a good reason to go Maybe I was born to run Like some Springsteen song When I see you out here dancing I have to admit I can’t think of one good reason to quit Now I’ve got all of California in my rearview I got Colorado weed inside my glovebox I’ve got that Arizona sunset polaroid to guide me home I never needed a good reason to go Never needed a good reason to go, oh no Never needed a good reason to go
