WE MADE IT!!! WE BOUGHT A VAN!

9.13.26 WE MADE IT!!! A little over a month ago we started a campaign to sell a ton of Rollin' Rust band merch. We figured if we made a good video and advertised it across the states, we could probably raise enough money for a new band van. The pressure was on. Our van quickly became unsafe for us to ride in… our time was ticking…

The response we received was overwhelming. We had folks from all over the United States buy our merch and donate to the Van Fund — 39 states!!! We're estimating that around 85% of the names on that list had no idea that our band existed before this — pure generosity and a shared love for music. We also had one very generous person who helped us get to the finish line much quicker than we anticipated. (Thank you again.)

So… thanks to friends, family, fans, and total strangers… The Rollin' Rust now has a really clean commercial van that will take us wherever we need to go, safely and in style. The Van — 2017 Chevy Express Passenger 2500 4.8L V8 — She has no rust and low mileage. It was a government vehicle, fleet-maintained, with extraordinarily low engine idle time. Believe it or not, it's what working bands dream of! More pics to come!!!

I mean it when I say — we couldn't be more thankful. Thank you for helping The Rollin' Rust achieve our goals and eventually our dreams. What happens now??? We'll just be out here making more music and doing more touring — hopefully meeting some of the folks that made this possible.

More info: We are fulfilling the last of the orders now. We did have to order new CDs They are on their way. As soon as they come in, we'll be shipping out the last of the packages. If you wanted to buy a shirt or hoodie but planned on doing it at a later time — you can still purchase the Van Fund design for one more week! It will be discontinued on September 20th. When we bought this van, it had 52,000 miles on it.

That was five years and about 150,000 miles ago.

Over the years, our van carried five people, a dog, a drum kit on the roof, an upright bass, merch, amps, guitars, all of our clothing, and whatever else we could squeeze in — through every state we’ve had the opportunity to play in.

When we first bought our minivan, we were playing bars and breweries up and down the East Coast. By the end of its time with us, our dreams had begun to manifest into reality.

Today, The Rollin’ Rust is showing up at nationally known festivals and playing on stages with the big kids — CAAMP · LORD HURON · JACK WHITE · ALABAMA SHAKES · THE HEAD AND THE HEART · PIXIES · THE BLACK CROWES · MARCUS KING · SIERRA HULL and many, many others.

Unfortunately, our four-wheeled bandmate just doesn’t have what it takes to keep going. We’re far past needing a repair. We need a replacement.

Five years. 144,000+ miles. Something bad is coming...

The honest truth: the transmission is going, there’s rust through the frame, and it needs new shocks, brakes, and an exhaust. The latest repair estimate costs more than the van is worth — no exaggeration.

Rather than run a donation drive, we printed shirts. You get something you’ll actually wear, and we get one step closer to a vehicle that starts every morning. If you want to donate extra, that option’s there, too.

We’re asking fans and strangers alike — music lovers from sea to sea — if they’ll lend a hand.

The Rollin’ Rust is a good example of how it starts for so many up-and-coming artists around the world. Whether you know the band or not, if you’ve ever enjoyed live music, driving around in a minivan is often where it begins.
